Cyclist in plea to trace stolen bike
A cyclist who had a new bike stolen after leaving it unattended for 10 minutes is asking for help tracing it.
The blue Carrera Centos men's mountain bike was stolen from outside a building on the corner of Samson Road and Comet Way, Coalville, at about 5.20pm on Wednesday, February 6.
The owner had only bought the bike three days before the theft.
The suspect has been described as a white man, aged between 16 and 20, of slim build and about 6ft tall.

He was wearing a dark jacket, dark combat trousers, a dark cap or beanie hat and light training shoes.
Pcso Will Tipper said: "The victim is upset and annoyed about the theft, particularly because he only bought the bike three days prior to it happening.
"We have released an image of the bike in the hope members of the public will be able to help us identify its whereabouts, and the man who stole it.
"If you have any information that could help us, please get in touch, no matter how insignificant the information may seem."

“to the owner, did this bike come from halfords? did they advise you to buy a lock? if not, you could hold them responsible and if you stamp you feet, they will replace it.”

“Agreed, a half decent lock doesn't cost that much. Also, why is it that you don't get a news article every time someone has their £15,000 car or motorbike stolen but some muppet gets their push bike stolen because they left it unsecured or loses their iPad in a supermarket and it's a big deal?”
