Leicester City drew 1-1 at Oxford United in their latest pre-season friendly.

DJ Campbell put City ahead with a first-half free-kick, his fourth goal in as many games.

But James Connolly hit a 74th-minute equaliser for the home side from close range.

See Monday's Leicester Mercury for all the reaction.

“I went to the Oxford match although bearing in mind it was a friendly...£14.00 to watch the match was a bit steep!
The goal from Campbell was good but apart from excellent performances from Berner, Hobbs and at times Dyer...the rest of the players need to take a good look at themselves because Oxford competed well and at times you could not tell the difference between the two sides...Leicester had a lot of half chances...but we should have been show boating this one 6-0 at least...no attacking style present yet - at least they did not hoof the ball up all the time...Friatt should have stayed in bed for this one...or perhaps he was..as he was having a nightmare!”

“I'll second that Mark. I will give Campbell 4 Starts in the shirt (that's if he gets picked) and then he will be dragged of and loaned out again because he really doesn't have the ability to score for us.

What happened to Hollowhead? Campbell is no longer on his radar.

Fred and Campbell will leave together hand in hand (I wish)

On a more positive note. We will have to see how we go against Sunderland. That will be a true test as to where we are at.

Up the City!! and dump out Fred.”

“This is a win win Campbell may actually play and score goals for us this season. If not he is in form and will fetch a decent transfer fee. If he doesn't perform I bet his No1 fan and his many aliases on here will blame the rest of the team!”
