DJ Campbell pleads with Leicester City to let him join Blackpool
DJ Campbell has pleaded with Leicester City not to scupper his dream move to Premier League-bound Blackpool this summer.
Campbell helped Blackpool win the play-off final at Wembley on Saturday to book their place in the Premier League, and Campbell wants to go with Ian Holloway's Seasiders into the top flight.

The 28-year-old, who has scored 11 times in 18 games for The Tangerines since joining on loan from Leicester in February, has urged City not to "do something silly'' to jeopardise his permanent move to Bloomfield Road.
City are keen to offload Campbell, who has failed to find the same goal-scoring form in a blue shirt he has shown on the north-west coast, as he is one of the club's highest earners.
Holloway had expressed doubts over whether Blackpool could afford to sign Campbell, who cost City £1.6million three years ago. Holloway had the second lowest budget in the Championship last season and it was likely that City would have reduced their transfer fee demands had the Seasiders not gained promotion. Campbell had indicated he was also prepared to accept a pay cut to make the move.
However, Blackpool's play-off victory is estimated to be worth £90 million to the club and they now have the finances to make City an offer, but Campbell fears City will jeopardise his move by playing hard-ball during negotiations.
He said: "What happens next? I can't answer that yet, but I had a little word with the gaffer after Saturday's game and he wants to sign me. I want to come, so it is just a case of hoping Leicester don't do something silly.
"But everyone in Blackpool knows how much I love the club – I wouldn't have come back otherwise.
"We'll see what happens during the summer but I have been so happy to be at Blackpool during the second half of the season. I love the club. I love everybody, all the players and the gaffer.
"I am speechless and just delighted for everyone that we've actually managed to win promotion. But we've deserved it I think. The last 12 games we have been on such a great run and we showed again on Saturday that we deserve to be where we are. I am delighted."
Meanwhile, reports during the weekend that City have reached an agreement with Liverpool over a season-long loan for midfielder Jay Spearing are premature.
City are interested in signing the 21-year-old, who has impressed City boss Nigel Pearson, either permanently or more likely on another loan deal, but no deal has been struck.

“Seaside Mafia is spot on when he reminds us all that Dudley may yet yet find himself detained at Her Majesty's pleasure until he is past his 30th Birthday. Blackpool will not offer a stick of rock for him until that one is sorted. I doubt if they'll pay £1m for him if he avoids custody ! He is nearly 30, and actually has a poor record everywhere other than at the seaside(and Yeading). Curious though that City wanted £300k for him back in January. (Is this the Man City/Chelsea effect on transfer fees ?). If he stays at City, the last year of his contract will cost £750k.To get £1m for him (in real terms), B'pool need only offer that original £300k”

“Look its simple If he wants to go let him if we keep him he will not perform at all so take what we can get and put it towards buying a player that will enhance the squad and create chance for our strikers to hit the net”
