Date for virtuoso guitarist
Galina Vale: Classically-trained guitar virtuoso Galina can be seen at Embrace Arts, in Leicester, this month.
She will be offering an evening of classical, flamenco and folk guitar music from Spain, Latin America, Eastern Europe and beyond.

Born in the Ukraine into a family of musicians, Galina was a child prodigy who began her performing career when she appeared on state television aged just eight.
From the age of 12 she was performing major guitar concertos with the Kharkov Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra. When she reached 15, she was employed as a principal guitarist with the Kharkov State Philharmonia and started her career as a concert performer. Graduating from Moscow State Gnesins Music College, she then undertook a professional performance course at the Royal Northern College of Music.

She has won prizes at international guitar and music competitions in Poland, Italy, Hungary, Spain, Thailand and the United Kingdom, and has performed more than 2,000 concerts across the world.
