A man who was found dead in Nottingham had been dismembered and police have still not found all of his body parts, a court heard.

Kevin Kennedy, 50, was found on land between Burrows Court and Rossington Road, in Sneinton, Nottingham, on August 8.

Prosecutor Dawn Pritchard told Nottingham Crown Court yesterday that "certain body parts" were still missing and police were continuing to carry out searches.

Two people have been charged with his murder.

Tara Swift, of West Street, Leicester, was arrested and charged last week.

The 40-year-old, formerly of Sneinton, appeared at Nottingham Crown Court yesterday for a bail hearing and has been remanded in custody.

Peter Healy, 50, of Lord Nelson Street, Sneinton, is also charged with murder, as well as causing actual bodily harm and theft. He appeared in court in August and is also in custody.

A trial is due to start in January and is set to last three to four weeks.

Mr Kennedy, 50, was of no fixed address.

A post-mortem examination into the cause of his death proved inconclusive.
