Delays on M1 northbound after serious crash
UPDATE 7:40PM: Motorists are being warned that there are still severe delays on the M1 northbound between junctions J23 to J25 due to an earlier incident which closed the road for several hours. The road has reopened but drivers are advised to seek alternative routes or delay their journeys if possible.

Drivers are facing delays after a sever crash on the M1
Drivers using the M1 northbound from Leicester are being warned of severe delays after a lorry crash.
The northbound carriageway is blocked at between J25, A52 (Nottingham) and J26, A610 (Nottingham), after a crash just before noon today which involved two lorries and a car.

One lane is also closed southbound after one of the lorries hit the central reservation. It is expected to be shut for several hours.
Nottinghamshire Police said one of the lorry drivers had been taken to Nottingham’s Queen’s Medical Centre with serious injuries. The other two drivers are thought to have minor injuries.
The road is expected to be closed for a number of hours and motorists are asked to avoid the area.
