Motorway drivers in Leicestershire faced delays today after two separate incidents.

Drivers using the M6 in Leicestershire were hit by hold-ups because of a broken down lorry. The southbound lane of the M6 was closed at the slip road for the Catthorpe Interchange island after the breakdown at about 10.30am. The route was reopened by 12pm.

Meanwhile, drivers using the M1 faced delays travelling northbound between junction 21A and junction 22.

The crash happened at about 11.20am and was cleared by 12.30pm.
