Demolition has started on a former factory site in a village.

The work has started on the old Sapcote Site Supplies factory, in Leicester Road, Sapcote, as the building makes way for homes.

A revised plan by developer Ian Bullions was approved by Blaby District Council earlier this year. The scheme offers six one-bedroom, 10 two-bedroom and 21 three-bedroom homes, with access off Leicester Road, instead of Brown's Close.
