Detectives investigating the fatal street stabbing of a 36-year-old man have released an image of the victim's jacket in the hope of piecing together his last movements.

Nazir Taj Sheikh died in hospital from a single wound just hours after he was attacked in the St Saviour's Road area of Leicester on Monday, March 8.

He was found in nearby Grove Road after he managed to stumble through an alleyway connecting it to St Saviours Road.

Police hope releasing the image of the victim's distinctive beige and black jacket will help potential witnesses to come forward with vital information on Mr Sheikh's movements prior to the attack.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Operation Remedy incident room on 0116 222 2222, or alternatively to contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
