Diana would have changed the royals
I wonder if certain members of the royal family will have a sense of guilt with the passing of the 15th anniversary of Princess Diana's untimely death.
I firmly believe had she been blessed with a normal, happy marriage, we would still be enjoying the girl who could have brought a fresh breeze to our dated royal family (no disrespect to the Queen).

Diana had so much to give to so many people, but unfortunately not having the joy of a loving marriage, she was a ship without a rudder.
Had her marriage been a normal loving relationship, we would now be looking forward to our next monarchy, with Diana and Charles making a very acceptable King and Queen.

They would have become a great asset and brilliant ambassadors for our country.
May I suggest Prince Charles does the honourable thing by standing aside and allowing his eldest son, Prince William, and Kate to become our future King and Queen.
I'm sure they will make great monarchs, sooner rather than later.
I would love to know what the Queen's thoughts are about the whole situation.
This change, I'm sure, would bring the royal family into the 21st century, which is what Diana would have achieved had she been given the love and support of the royals.
Regarding Queen Elizabeth II, we should all be very grateful and give our thanks and appreciation for her 60 years of wonderful work.
She will go down in history as one of the great monarchs of our country.
Finally, in response to those who were quick to criticise Diana who, certainly in her later years, led an iffy lifestyle.
They should ask themselves what led her on this unfortunate path before condemning the girl.
However, Diana left us with a legacy for us all to be proud of – her sons William and Harry.

“I really don't think the Royals do guilt..particularly Charles and his mistress turned wife. Whatever your opinion of Diana she was his wife and mother to his children.”

“Another starry eyed portrayal of an innocent pawn among the lions. Some of us have never been taken in by the disney-esque picture that others fell for”

“Why do folk keep wanting to bring this up. For God's sake it's something that happened 15 years, we know the story inside out and many are heartily sick and tired of the likes of this letter writer who continually want to drag up the past. Let her rest in peace.”
