John Boyce, leader of the council said: "Through being more innovative and efficient we have again been able to protect all of our key front line services.

“@TomBirdMH The LDs have got little else to put in their Focuses. How anyone can write so much in so many leaflets about so little is beyond me.”

“I presume the Lib Dems are frightened of loosing their seats in Oadby and Wigston at the county council elections, so need something to put in their Focuses.”

“Isn't it funny how the Mercury didn't report that the Lib Dem councillors voted AGAINST a 30% cut in Councillors' allowances?
The Conservatives put an amendment in to increase much-needed funding for Senior Citizens and Youth Services with the cost being met by the cut in allowances. Surprise, surprise, the Lib Dem "career councillors" voted against it.
OWBC is NOT efficient by any stretch. There are huge areas of waste with hundreds of thousands being blown unnecessarily.
Is the Mercury becoming the mouthpiece for John Boyce and the Lib Dems in Oadby and Wigston?”
