Youngsters who starred in The King and I musical at Curve two years ago caught up with one another at a reunion tea party.

Sixty children from Leicestershire starred in the theatre's hit 2010 Christmas production.

The reunion was hosted at the city centre theatre by leading lady Janie Dee, who played Anna in The King And I, and is giving her latest star turn as Dolly Levi in this year's festive show, Hello Dolly!

The actress greeted the children as they arrived for the tea party, with a majority of the young cast able to join her and their former co-stars.

"We had enormous fun working on The King and I," said Janie.

"It was so nice to work with such lovely children and there was a great atmosphere throughout.

"As soon as I knew that I would be coming back to Leicester to play Dolly Levi in Hello Dolly!, I thought it would be a great opportunity to meet up with the children.

"So what better way to catch up than over tea, juice and cake?"
