Two Olympic medal-winning athletes were at an electrical store yesterday to sign autographs and meet customers.

Canoeists Tim Baillie and Etienne Stott picked up gold at this summer's Games in front of 12,000 spectators at the Lee Valley White Water Centre, in London.

The pair were at the Panasonic store in St Martin's Square, Leicester, yesterday to meet sports fans and shoppers.

About 20 people queued to talk to the stars and collect their autographs.

Assistant manager at the store Kittipong Suwattananon said: "We had quite a few people queuing up to get things signed and talk to the athletes. It was nice to see so many people interested."

Panasonic was one of the official sponsors of the London 2012 Games.
