Dramatic finish in drop zone
Wigston and Hathern Old were relegated after a sensational final day in the Premier Division.
There were bitter pills to swallow for both sides as they missed out on maintaining their status by a whisker.
Wigston climbed off the bottom of the table for the first time this season but ended up just two points short of safety after a high-scoring losing draw away at Hinckley.
The hosts posted 256-7 but, despite Chris Hearne's big-hitting 40 not out, they fell nine runs short of the victory that would have seen them complete an amazing escape having been winless and 80 points adrift with eight games remaining.

Meanwhile, Garry Leeson's marvellous 118 not out was not enough to take Hathern past Leicester Ivanhoe's 225-5.
Had they picked up the eight runs they needed from the final over, they would have overtaken Burbage and sent them down.
Instead, they managed only four as Ivanhoe's former first-team bowler Guy Jackson pegged them back, and Hathern ended up just three runs behind Ivanhoe's target and had to settle for a losing draw.
Those results saved Burbage after they produced what out-going skipper Tom Payne called a "very poor" performance at Woodhouse Eaves.
Lee Martin top-scored with 33 as the visitors stumbled to 136-9 – a total that Woodhouse had no trouble hunting down with almost 10 overs spare.
It left the Burbage team making a series of frantic phone calls to find out their fate before news of their safety finally came through from Ivanhoe.
Elsewhere, champions Newbold Verdon completed their 14th win from 22 games with victory at Braunstone. Twycross pipped Bharat for second place.
