A driver has pleaded guilty to causing the death of a cyclist by careless driving.

William Manson (62), of Meadow Way, Melton, appeared at Leicester Crown Court on Monday.

He admitted causing the death of Neil Thompson in Botcheston Road, Newtown Unthank, near Desford, on January 19.

Mr Thompson, 54, of Kirkby Mallory, was pronounced dead at the scene after a collision involving his bike and a 4x4 vehicle.
