“I drive up and down the a47 everyday. Too many boy racers and careless drivers use that road. I have seen cars doing upto 100mph down the a47. Some people also overtake on the oncoming lane. I have seen plenty of near misses and seen a few accidents.
These maniacs are a danger to other road users.”

“Ah, what I meant by the Lubbesthorpe part is that Beggars Lane gets very congested, especially during rush hour and half term. I have witnessed many people darting the lights, either from Beggars Lane onto the A47 or along the A47. I've seen near misses. With an increase in traffic and no change in the junction (filter lane left off the A47 onto Beggars Lane when driving out of the city) etc it could lead to more accidents - not down to the junction itself but down to impatience etc of drivers.”

“I don't think it was the junction at fault having driven past it today & you can see the 'Leaning Lampost of Leicester' but if it was down mechanical failure, medical emergency or drink driving that would not be affected by Lubbesthorpe. I can see that when Lubbesthorpe is built, the A47 will become a nightmare going in to Leicester.”

“This is the same junction that will see an increase in traffic after they build on Lubbesthorpe and opposite my parents house on Beggars Lane. This junction needs fixing before they start building new houses etc.”
