Drug addict thief has sweet tooth
A chocolate thief has been ordered to pay back hundreds of pounds to a shop he stole from.
Nathan Fernandes, 33, from Gotham Street, in Highfields, Leicester, stole £311 worth of chocolate bars from WHSmith at Leicester Train Station on nine occasions between October and December last year.
Leicester Magistrates' Court heard how drug addict Fernandes would stuff bars into his coat and bag, out of view of staff but in full view of CCTV cameras.
He was arrested by British Transport Police on Saturday and charged with four counts of theft. He admitted the charges and the magistrates ordered him to repay the full amount to WHSmith.
