An early goal from Ryan Robbins was enough to secure leaders Coalville Town victory at struggling Romulus.

With nearest challengers Stamford drawing at Lincoln United, the Ravens now have a 13-point cushion at the top of Division One South of Evo-Stik Northern Premier League.

The visitors could have gone ahead in the second minute but Cameron Stuart had a penalty saved. They did break through three minutes later, however, Robbins heading home a Callum Woodward corner.

Coalville had chances to extend their lead with Robbins Stuart and Anthony Carney all rattling the woodwork. But they had to settle for just the one goal despite Romulus having a man sent off on the hour mark.

Loughborough Dynamo claimed a welcome victory, 4-1 at home to Sheffield FC thanks to Shoquilee Mackenzie, Robert Norris, Dominic Brennan and Jake Betts.

Loughborough University's title chances in the Midland Alliance received a blow when they were beaten 1-0 at home by Tividale.

Heather St John's led Stratford Town at the break but, after having a man sent off, slipped to a 2-1 defeat.

Shane Gibbs put them ahead after eight minutes, picking up a Harry White through ball to drive home. Joe Price and Gibbs then had shots that hit the bar.

Heather had Scott Smith sent off after 55 minutes and they eventually succumbed to Stratford's pressure by conceding two goals in as many minutes through Aaron Forde and Joe Hassall.

Kirby Muxloe drew 2-2 with Highgate United, all the goals coming in the first half. Brett Darby and Ryan Seal, with a penalty, counted for Kirby.

Depleted Shepshed Dynamo were two goals down in the first five minutes at UCL Premier Division leaders Holbeach United.

Andrew Tidswell was the man who put Holbeach in the driving seat with a quick double.

Gradually, Shepshed began to get into the game but Holbeach netted a third in the 26th minute, Tidswell completing his hat-trick despite off-side protests from the visitors.

In the second half, Dynamo more than held their own but it wasn't until the 80th minute they managed a goal, Sam Wood curling in a free-kick.

Third-placed Quorn were beaten 1-0 by Yaxley, while struggling Harborough Town were hammered 8-1 at St Ives Town.

Oadby Town are second in Division One after leap-frogging Eynesbury Rovers thanks to a 1-0 win, Sam Benjamin netting.
