Eco-friendly aristocrats
The Duke and Duchess of Rutland deserve praise for their plans to "make Belvoir Castle green by turning it into Britain's most eco-friendly stately home" (Mercury, July 30), including plans for small-scale wind turbines and hydro-electric power generators.
On a larger scale, the proposed Palmers Hollow Wind Farm near Bottesford is entirely consistent with this "eco-friendly spirit" and would make a significant contribution to a "greening" of the whole area.
