Emile Heskey, age 11, faces up to the 'Emu challenge'

Footage of former Leicester City and England footballer Emile Heskey on an episode of the Rod Hull and Emu Show in 1988 has surfaced on the web.

The video of 11-year-old Emile shows him leading the 8th Leicester Boys Brigade to victory in an obstacle course against a team from Nottingham.

Emile's name gets mispronounced throughout but there's a happy ending as the clip shows him getting a hug from Hull at the end of the challenge, which see his team win £100 for a local charity.

On the channel where the video has been uploaded the user says: “What you'll see on my channel is a bizarre mix of football, kids' shows, and other assorted oddities. The one thing they have in common is that I discovered them on old VHS tapes and found them at least mildly interesting. Here's hoping you do, too.”
