England call for Leicester City Academy trio
Three schoolboys from Leicester City Academy have received call-ups as part of the England's youth international schedule this summer.
Fifteen-year-old Kyle Bailey has been placed on stand-by for the England Under-17s squad travelling to next month's Nordics Tournament in the Faroe Islands, while Brandon Fox and Keenan King, also 15, will report for the England Under-16s training camp at Warwick University.
England have been drawn in Group A to face the hosts, Finland and Norway.
Meanwhile, from August 13-16, Fox, also a pupil at Wreake Valley, and King, from Oadby Beauchamp College, will attend a special training camp with England Under-16s.

City academy director Jon Rudkin said: "It always gives us great pleasure, both as an academy and as a football club, to see our young players attaining international recognition.
"While Kyle, Brandon and Keenan are still of a very young age, international inclusion represents a fantastic opportunity for them to further their footballing education and experience something that will be of long-term benefit in terms of their development with Leicester City."

“Totally agree with all comments below, well done boys, now go and make your mark at this level.
However, praise should be passed to those who are developing these boys at the LCFAcademy. It's one thing to have skills or ability, it's another for someone to help you develop those skills and talent.
Besides Jon Rudkin, who else is helping these boys ?”

“Yorkfox, absolutely spot on, also as with your post in "Plenty of work to be done at Leicester City after defeat at Shrewsbury Town, Ee by gum" a well balanced post that most LCFC supporters will identify with. Good news for the 3 lads and those that have spotted them and coached them, well done good luck to you all, how long before some of the moaners and groaners have something negative to post about this article?
Cmon you blues”

“One of the most exciting articles for months. 3 players on the LCFC books with a chance of winning international caps for England, and only 4 people think its worth a Post.
To the other 3 of you on this page well done, to the rest of the Posters on this site shame on you
These boys deserve so much encouragement and get nothing.
Perhaps we as fans get what we deserve. As bright young prospects, why would anyone want to go on with this club to the First team squad when all they get is villified by their own supporters let alone the opposition.”

“This is great news.
Unfortunately seems to have been missed by many of us due to the hysteria surrounding about our performances in friendlies.
Reminds us that there is a future to LCFC that goes on far beyond whether or not we get promotion next season. I'd rather see us building a solid base into the future than focusing all our energies and efforts into a single season next year.”

“FANTASTIC NEWS
Learn from it boys. The coaching you will get will be second to none.
Who says we have no scouts?
To pick up youngsters of this quality so soon in their career is brilliant and then to coach them to international recognition at such a young age, says volumes for the Leicester academy at all levels
GOOD LUCK AND WELL DONE ALL”
