Two charities have collaborated to turn a vacant South Wigston building into an Enterprise Centre.

Last May, Alpha House was taken over by the Zinthiya Trust, a Leicester charity which helps the homeless, long-term unemployed and victims of domestic violence.

The trust also runs a scheme called Tomorrowtogether, which provides opportunities for people to do jobs such as cleaning, leaflet distribution and catering.

It is using the Alpha House Enterprise Centre, in Countesthorpe Road, to provide training and networking. Alpha House will also help the trusts work with the Prince's Trust team challenge, a 12-week programme run by the Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service.
