Event will start today
The annual Leicestershire County Tennis Championships will get under way today.
The event at the Leicestershire Lawn Tennis Club and other local clubs ends with the finals being played on Saturday and Sunday next week.
Last year's champions and No.1 seeds for this year Kerry Pollard, from Roundhill Tennis Club, and Tom Kisiel, from the Leicester Forest East club, will both be defending their titles.
Pollard will be attempting to win her 10th county singles final and is due to meet the No.2 seed Emily Egan Morris.

About 350 county competitors will play in more than 400 matches throughout the competition.
