Long Whatton: There is to be an open exhibition at Long Whatton Community Centre in Main Street, on Thursday, May 7, from 3pm to 8pm.

This follows a similar event in Diseworth and will give Long Whatton residents an opportunity to see outline plans showing a site identified as suitable for affordable homes as highlighted in the Parish Plan.

Representatives of the developing housing association, the local authority and the rural housing enabler will be available to discuss the proposals.

Refreshments will be available. After the exhibition, the annual parish meeting will be held at 7.15pm.

It will be open to all local residents who will be able to raise any matter of local interest, and, if appropriate, to make propositions, and vote on them, recommending a course of action to the parish council.

After this meeting, there will be the annual meeting of Long Whatton and Diseworth Parish Council for the purpose of receiving annual reports and electing parish council officers, committees and representatives on outside bodies.
