FA Cup blow for Leicester City fans
Leicester City say they are "disappointed" by an allocation of just 2,400 tickets for the FA Cup fifth-round tie at Norwich on Saturday week.
The club requested its full allocation of more than 4,000 tickets – the figure permitted for ties at Carrow Road under competition rules.
A City spokesman said: "Norwich advised us of their admission prices on Friday evening but, disappointingly, we received notification on Saturday that only 2,400 tickets will be allocated.
"Upon further consultation with the Football Association, it has been confirmed that, despite the exemplary record of our travelling support in recent seasons, the decision was taken on ground safety by Norwich's Safety Advisory Group."
Tickets went on sale today for priority season-tickets holders until Friday. Any left will be available to members before Saturday's match with Cardiff, and then on general sale following the match.

“Even when we were in league 1 , we were having full houses , week in week out , so even if we were bottom of the prem , we would still sell out , can the same be said for you ??”

“1600 ticketless Leicester fans turning up and demanding to get in to "their" seats would be interesting!”

“Yes that's it...
The lads go to Norwich and get a 1-1 and it's back to the KP for a replay...
Then it'll be up to LCFC fans to make sure that they SWAMPED lcfc with requests for tickets AS SOON as the game AT Norwich finishes.
Then lcfc should return the er "favour" --- But will they?
Oh I just pray for a draw...
So remember Millsy,,, 1-0 up 1 min to go, please blast one past Kasper and tell him that's for the fans............”

“Patrick4939
How about sour grapes I know they are not berries. But I feel that's what most of the away blue army will be saying. I don't use a spell checker as I don't have one. I seldom spell words wrong, but admit I made a monumental mistake but we will bury Norwich in the FA cup round. So grab a seat if there are any left after the season ticket holders have rightfully had first crack at them. City wins 3-1 Nugent 2 Beckrord 1”

“I believe that the health & safety issue is a smokescreen, N.C.F.C had no intention of issuing us with our full allocation, at any stage.
I shall be e-mailing the Norwich City Chief Executive to ask to see a copy of the report from the 'Norwich Safety Advisory Group' so we are all clear for the precise reason for this outrageous decision. If it is for 'safety' reasons then i expect to see 1600 empty seats next to the Leicester fans. I do not expect any of these seats to be sold to Norwich supporters.
I shall also point out that the potential for Leicester fans to be in the home areas of the ground and for ticket less City fans to be around Norwich that day will now be increased as a direct result of this decision.
It is my opinion therefore that the potential for 'safety issues' on this match day has been significantly increased, not reduced, as a direct result of this decision to severely restrict the allocation we are entitled to under F.A. rules.”

“Yep, sounds like a load of B--lsh!t to me. They are obviously worried that the home fans will get out sung. They wouldn,t want it to be like an away game for themselves. It wasn,t that long ago when their P!ssed up Chairwoman felt the need to go into the centre circle at half time to ask the home fans where they were. Come on, where are you? where are you? Well we know where they are Delia. SAT IN WHAT SHOULD BE LEICESTER FANS SEATS! or hiding behind them.
BLUE ARMY!”

“I agree with Fatbarman just an excuse to increase the home fan contingent, suggest the ticket allocation wouldn't been altered if Man U were the visitors.
LCFC should make a formal complaint to the FA but the Premiership closed shop comes into operation!
Should there be a replay then no doubt the same Health & Safety issues will prevent a full allocation to the visiting fans?”
