No FA charge for Leicester City's Nigel Pearson
Nigel Pearson will not face an FA charge of improper conduct.
The FA have confirmed there will be no further punishment for the Leicester City boss after he was sent to the stands during the 2-2 draw with Middlesbrough.

An FA spokesman said no further action was deemed appropriate after reviewing referee Gavin Ward's report and the evidence.
"It was felt that there was no further action needed other than to remind Mr Pearson of his responsibilities," he said.

“A just and right outcome. Are the FA to "punish" the referee for being over-zealous, I wonder.”

“Well all I can say is I hope the FA reminded the referee of his responsibilities in no uncertain terms. It was very obvious to the masses, that of course the FA would chuck it out, as Nigel had no case to answer" full stop.”

“This referee at least needs a re-training exercise, because it was only a miracle that prevented some players, St Leger in particular, from suffering a serious injury.
Injuries caused by a failure to protect players cost the player a long lay-off and can be career threatening, and if clubs lose important players for a long period it can cost them promotion or relegation and millions of pounds in lost revenue, even bankruptcy in some cases.
The Officials carry a burden of responsibility, and when they slip below the standard required they should be accountable.
It is time the 4th official started to file reports on the performance of the Ref and lines-persons, and the ref association set about self-accreditation, otherwise outside agencies may have to take it on.”

“just had a thought we have all assumed he went into the dressing room intentionally; perhaps he was just lost like he was for the 90 minutes on the pitch!!”

“No, FA, this isn't good enough. It's another cover-up, and it may have cost City two points. Remind WHO of their responsibilities? Watch where this 'ref' turns up next. Is he one of the 'protected ones' like Attwell who never have to answer for their over-eager incompetence? Will Leicester be protected from ever facing this poor ref. again?”

“Well well well what a surprise. Referee hasnt a leg to stand on so FA cover up. Never mind not taking action against Nigel , what action are they taking against the Ref. The idiot will just be free to carry on influencing the outcome of games, can you imagine the situation had sir Alex been involved. Dont let it stop here Nigel take it to the League Managers Association. If he is allowed to carry on he is going to incite crowd violence at some point with possible disastrous consequences.”
