Celebrity mask-wearers Faces of Disco have now received more than a million internet hits from fans eager to see their cheeky dance routines.

And after getting the axe in the first semi-final of Britain's Got Talent, former Groby Community College student Richard Edmonds and his pal Liam Collins have been "inundated" with messages of support from people who want to see them carry on. The boys' original audition for the show's judges has now been viewed more than a million times on YouTube, their Facebook group now has more than a thousand members and they have had almost 75,000 hits on their website.

The boys said: "Yesterday we couldn't even walk down the street or go to Tesco's without people coming up to us, it was so nice. We did not expect this at all.

"We are in one of the worst recessions since the Great Depression and we have an act which makes people smile and cuts through all language and religious barriers. It is so fulfilling to know that we have brought a smile to many people's faces."
