Fair day out for disabled children
Young people with disabilities were treated to a day out at the fair thanks to volunteers from a Lions club.
More than 600 children from across the Midlands had the run of the rides and stalls at Ashby Statutes Fair.

They were the guests of Ashby-de-la-Zouch and Coalville Lions Club, which has organised the annual visit for over 30 years.
Fairground rides in Brook Street and Market Street were opened especially for the youngsters, with many of the rides running at half speed for those with more severe disabilities.

Lions club members gave each child a goodie bag containing fruit and snacks on their arrival and treated them to sweets, crisps, milk and fruit drinks.
They were helped by volunteers from Ashby School, who accompanied children on the rides.
John Milner, of the Lions, said: "It's was another wonderful day.
"The weather was nice and the children had a great time.
"I'd like to thank the sixth formers from Ashby School, KP Foods for providing crisps and Arla Foods Dairy for donating milk."
