Families to benefit at university
The University of Leicester is holding a series of welcome days for parents, friends, and relatives of new students this weekend.
The events are aimed at providing helpful information and reassurance about the place where their sons and daughters are about to start student life.
Steve O'Connor, director of development at the university, said: "At Leicester, we are committed to ensuring parents and guardians of new students not only have access to important support and information, but can also choose from a variety of opportunities to become involved in the university themselves.
"This is the beginning of an important relationship, not simply for the students but for their families as well."
