Fatal car crash in South Kilworth in Leicestershire

A man has died after his car crashed into a tree in South Kilworth last week.

The collision happened at around 7.50am on Wednesday in Rugby Road and involved one vehicle, a silver Vauxhall Corsa.

The vehicle, which was travelling towards Swinford from South Kilworth, left the road and collided with a tree.

The driver was taken to the University Hospitals of Coventry and Warwickshire in a serious condition. He passed away on Monday evening

Detective Constable Seamus Burns, the investigating officer, said: “We are continuing our enquiries into this investigation and we would still like to appeal to anyone who may have seen the car travelling along Rugby Road at the time of the collision or beforehand.

“If you have any information, please get in touch with us urgently.”
