Festive slaughter
The Bible says "are not five sparrows sold for two pennies and not one of them is forgotten before God" (Luke 12:6).
If God is so concerned over one sparrow, what must be His reaction to the slaughter of a thousand turkeys to commemorate the birth of His son Jesus?

“It is called the food chain! If we did not kill them another animal would, what do you think the animals in the jungle eat, cereals?”

“Or it might mean that god eats sparrows and finds them so delicious he never forgets the taste. He is omniscient after all. As a mere mortal I know I will remember my turkey for a very long time”

“@Ron – I think your lack of awareness of the Bible is somewhat revealed without a context your statement is only a pretext. Further evidence for those who rightfully claim that Scripture can be used (often meaning misused) for any cause! It is a a mistake to seek to justify an argument by 'picking and mixing' quotes without a context. It could be described has being self righteous, and your misunderstanding and misuse lends creadance to those who leap on such misunderstandings and misuse who assume that such misuse is the 'norm' - when it clearly is not. Think again Ron...”
