Fireworks and bricks have been thrown at police by protesters in Humberstone Gate East near the junction of Wharf Street South.

Supporters in the EDL end of the protest have also thrown beer cans containing fireworks, smoke bombs and coins at police.

One officer was seen being led away injured.

Scuffles have also broken at the demonstration.
