Floods have shut a primary school in Anstey.

Teachers have been forced to close Latimer Primary in Latimer Street today(26), because heavy rain flooded its boiler room, shutting off the heating system.

A post on their school's website said the weather has also broken its telephone system.

A total of 67.1mm of rain fell in the past week - the amount usually expected during the whole of November.
