Freeze brings ice, snow and sleet to Leicestershire
Ice, snow and sleet brought a wintry feel to the Leicestershire this morning as temperatures plunged below freezing. Melton was among the places to have some sleet showers and light snow affected roads in Rutland.
In Uppingham, melted snow turned to black ice on the A47, which was closed at about 10am today after a minor accident between the A6003 roundabout and the junction with Leicester Road, Uppingham.

Police area traffic control said there were no serious weather-related problems on the roads in Leicestershire and Rutland this morning
Today temperatures are expected to get no higher than 2C (36F).
The Met Office said the temperatures would drop below freezing again tonight and there is the possibility of more snow to come.
