Old Dalby: Members of Old Dalby Friendship Club and friends from Queensway, Nether Broughton and Long Clawson went on a day's outing to the Cotswolds organised by Norah Parkes. They were blessed with lovely weather for the trip which added to their enjoyment of the scenery on the way and enhanced the beauty of the attractive Cotswold villages. Their first stop was Moreton-in-Marsh and its famous market, where they browsed around the stalls before having lunch.

The second stop was Stow-on-the-Wold where they were able to do a little shopping and have a cup of tea. Then it was on to Bourton-in-the -Water for afternoon tea.

The Friendship Club received a donation from the Old Dalby Day Charity towards the cost of the coach for which they were very grateful.

As a result of the outing Mrs Parkes said that they had made £272 which will go towards paying for the club's Christmas dinner.
