Fund-raising ball success
About 150 people attended a black tie charity ball in support of a city park.
The event which was held at Leicester City Rooms was organised as a fund-raising event to help pay for redevelopment of the play area on Western Park.
Chairman Adrian Alexander said: "The aim of the event is to raise awareness within the community, while also raising the profile of the Friends of Western Park group."
The ball was supported by city councillors Peter Coley and Liz Kendall.
Western Park caters for people of all ages, offering everything from sports like tennis and bowls to country walks, skateboarding and an eco-house.
