Golf: Scraptoft's long wait for title is over at last
Scraptoft are the County inter-club mixed foursomes champions for the first time in more than 30 years.
They finished three-up against Whetstone in the 36-hole final at Birstall to lift the trophy they last won in 1981.
Whetstone were five-up on aggregate at the halfway stage of the final, but Scraptoft fought back to claim the title.
Whetstone's Martin Mayes (scratch) and Sue Barker received four shots in their clash against Ollie Booth (two) and Helen Lowe (two), and were two-up after the opening round.
