Golf: Sixth title for rock-solid Gibson
Cosby's David Gibson successfully defended his title when the 36-hole scratch tournament for 'The Rock' was held at Charnwood Forest.
It was a sixth success in the event for Gibson, who won in 1997-98, 2002, and 2010-11.

Gibson, who is also the County champion, shot an opening-round 71 which saw him in a four-way tie for second place, one behind young County golfer Jevann Parmar (The Leicestershire).
Also on 71 were Andy Mee and Tom Fairlie (both Lingdale), as well as Shaun Corby (Whetstone).

But it was Gibson who moved back into the winner's circle when he added a battling second-round one-under-par 68, including three birdies, for his 139 aggregate.
That saw him finish three in front of Parmar (70-72) and Atherstone's Clay Turvey (72-70), both on 142.
Mee finished on 144 after 71-73, with Cosby's Alastair Kinnaird (72-73) and Corby (71-74) both on 145.
Gibson said: "I enjoy playing at Charnwood Forest and I am always thrilled to win there.
"I'm really delighted to be champion again. It is a special place."
The previous weekend, Gibson became County Union Club Champion of Champions.
