Eric Wood's hole-in-one at the eighth was the highlight of a festive better-ball pairs competition for Market Harborough seniors over their home course.
However, Wood's ace did not see him among the prize-winners on this occasion, apart from a nearest-the-pin award.
Charlie Bowers and Ian Flude finished top with 46 points, with Peter Weiss and Dave Booler second after a tie on 45 with Dave Wilson and Jonathan Peake, who were third.
Other nearest-the-pin prizes went to Ivan Green at the 15th, and Peter Churchman at the 17th.
