The Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership (LLEP) has appointed two new members to its board.

They are Nicholas Pulley, regional director of Santander Corporate Banking, and Aatin Anadkat, the managing director at Leicester's Hotel Maiyango.

LLEP chairman Andrew Bacon said: "I'm delighted our board has been strengthened by the appointment of Nicholas and Aatin. Their experience will really help our efforts to boost the local economy."

Mr Pulley said: "I am delighted to be appointed to the LLEP board and I am looking forward to working with the rest of the board in helping the local economy to continue to thrive.

"As a major local employer, Santander is committed to Leicestershire and this appointment is another example of this commitment."

The most recent board meeting at Leicester's Curve theatre discussed topics such as the tourism and hospitality sector and progress on the enterprise zone at Mira in Hinckley.

The Growing Places Fund, set up by the Government to kick-start stalled road and infrastructure schemes, was also on the agenda.
