Group's talks not rationed
According to Bev Simpson, of Blaby Heritage and Museum Society, a talk by local archaeologist Peter Liddle "took members from the time of the Celtic religion, forward through the Roman occupation to early Christianity, with a photographic presentation showing many discovered artefacts, including the Hallaton Hoard.
"An audience question regarding the excavation of Richard III's remains brought forth a well received update."
The Society's next meeting, which is tonight, will be a talk by Nick Marshall entitled Christmas on Coupons.
It starts at 7.45pm, at The Drop in Centre, Welford Road, Blaby.
