Harborough District Council seat up for grabs
A by-election is to be held on January 28 for a vacant seat on Harborough District Council.
It will be held in the Great Bowden and Arden ward in Market Harborough.
It was caused by the resignation of former council leader Alistair Swatridge.
He stepped down from the authority in November because of ill health.
The current make-up of the council is 25 Conservatives and 11 Liberal Democrats.
Both parties are set to contest the by-election and nominations close at noon on December 31.
