Former Leicester Tigers flanker Neil Back says his old club are "under a lot of pressure" ahead of today's Aviva Premiership meeting with his Leeds side.

Back is now in his third year at Headingley having moved there to form a management team with former Tigers' backs coach Andy Key (now director of rugby).

The Yorkshire side are bottom of the Premiership with just one point from their three games so far.

But Back believes Leicester will have the dangerous weight of expectation on their shoulders after two defeats from three games.

"Leicester are finding themselves with only one win and in unfamiliar territory and under a lot of pressure," said Back.

"Having been in that (Leicester) environment for a few years and looking at where they are now, the heat will be on. They lost a number of key players last year, a lot of experience and a lot of leadership. That has been compounded by a few injuries in key positions."

But Back, 41, says Leicester have the strength in depth and character to deal with the situation.

"They are under a lot of pressure from themselves which will be the most important thing, but the quality is there, the belief will be there," he said.

"We expect it to be tough every second of the game. It will be a hard task for us but we will go there full of belief and confidence knowing we can beat anyone."
