Heavy rain left memorial an island
Friends and visitors to the National Memorial Arboretum, in Alrewas, Staffordshire, might find this photograph of interest.
The rivers Teme and Trent meet at one edge of the arboretum and the recent rain has left the Memorial Wall standing as an island. The photograph, by my friend Dave Evans, was taken on November 23.

“Is there any point in the LM putting a letter on-line but not show the photo. I am sympathetic to "buy hard copy" argument but why show the letter”
