Award-winning Nashville singer-songwriter Darrell Scott has taken delivery of a new guitar made in Leicestershire.

The new guitar was a custom collaboration with Richard Blake, of James Blake Guitars, based in Rothley, after they met after a show in York in July.

Richard said: "It was an interesting experience, building an instrument 'long distance' so to speak, with a client who was in the US for the duration of the process. It involved a great many e-mails, bouncing ideas back and forth.

"Darrell had some quite specific ideas as to what he wanted, which referenced a number of instruments including his Telecaster Deluxe, which he's played since he was 16."
