Hole keeps road in Loughborough closed to traffic
Motorists are being warned to expect more delays in Loughborough due to emergency works to fix a hole in a road.
The large hole appeared recently in Wood Gate in the town and the road was closed to traffic at 10.30am on Saturday after it suddenly got a lot bigger.
The work, which was initially due to be completed by the end of Saturday, is still ongoing.
A spokesman for Leicestershire County Council said: "Following yesterday's road collapse, Wood Gate in Loughborough town centre will remain closed from its junction of Packhorse Lane to the A6 at High Street.
