A new showhome complex has been opened in Oakham.

Larkfleet Homes' Leighfield Park scheme was officially opened by Helen Briggs, chief executive of Rutland County Council, in a ceremony on site.

It is the first phase of Oakham Heights, a major new housing scheme which will see homes built on land between the Oakham bypass and Barleythorpe Road.

Ms Briggs was joined by Larkfleet senior staff, members of Rutland County Council and Oakham Town Council plus other guests who watched her and Larkfleet Homes' managing director Karl Hick cut a ribbon at the entrance to mark it officially open.
