A council has been asked to review a decision to give planning permission for 13 homes in back gardens in a village conservation area.

Five Harborough district councillors claim the scheme, in Kibworth, which also includes nine flats, is against the authority's planning guidelines regarding garden grabbing and development in a conservation area.

The application, by Self Unlimited and several residents, was approved by the council's planning committee on Tuesday. It will be referred to the full council, on February 23.
