Homes get solar panels
Solar panels have been installed on the roofs of dozens of homes in Oadby and Wigston thanks to a £200,000 Government grant.
Oadby and Wigston Borough Council bid for the cash from the Department of Environment Climate Change (DECC). The authority has installed the panels on 39 elderly people's homes.
Sue Price, from the environment and licensing team, said: "The installations have been carried out through the Efficiency East Midlands framework agreement."
