Runners are being urged to join in a mile event for Sport Relief.

The Hinckley and Bosworth Mile is being hosted by Hinckley United Football Club on March 21 and incorporates one, three and six-mile events.

Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council sport spokesman Wendy Moore said: "It would be good to see a record turnout of people in the area as the day provides an opportunity for families and friends to get together and also raise money for Sport Relief to help transform lives forever."

The event starts at the Greene King Stadium in Leicester Road, Hinckley, at 11am on Sunday, March 21. Entry fee £5 for adults, £2 for children and £12 for families of four.
